Recognition Chair: Evelyn went over recognitions for leaders.  Next month each leader will be given her folder to update training information. Any questions on recognitions contact Evelyn at 704) 662-9171--no email

Librarian: Kim Isom—There are many new books in the library that were purchased over the summer. If you borrow a book, please return it at the next service unit meeting so that others may have the chance to borrow it. If there is something you need from the library call Kim and she will check to see if it is in. Sharing box—If you have things left over from crafts or old books that you want to get rid of, put in the sharing box for others to use.

Consultants: Lori Harbinson-daisies, Kim Isom and Anne Kerhoulas –Brownies, Jill Viveiros-Juniors and Victoria Jones Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors. The consultants will help place girls after school night and are also there to answer the questions that you may have.

Training Classes:  There are now two courses you must do on-line before you can have or go to a sleepover:  Be Safe, Be Ready-Outings and Overnights http://wncbahai.org/gs/oo_index.php  and Girl Planning http://wncbahai.org/gs/gp_index.php.   After these courses are completed, then you can take Troop Camp license course (which must be completed before you can camp).  Troop camp training dates are in the council training guide.  You are encouraged to take the Leadership Essentials training to help with Journey books.  New guidelines for Bronze, Silver, and Gold.

GSCP2P Celebration-October 3 at Hickory Metro Convention.  GSCCVA web site will be up until October 15. Kim will let us know if that date will change.

We should all have our new troop numbers by now. If you had a three digit number add a 10 to the front, if two digit then add 100, and one digit then add 1000.

Child Watch is available at Service Unit meetings.  Need troops 6th grade and older to help.  Let Andrea know if you're troop is interested.
